Global Positioning System Location Tracking

Context:

GPS - American Global Positioning System

GSM - Global System for Mobile Communications, Connection mainly that uses the Mobile/Cellphone Towers.

GLONASS - European Global navigation satellite system, providing real-time position and velocity determination for military and civilian users. A connection that uses Satellites. This means extra reliability for sending data to where it's appropriate.

Anti-Tampering - Systems in place to know if the device is tampered with/broken into without any consent to relevant personnel.

Anti-Jamming - Systems in place in our device to avoid our data being interfered with.

Internal Battery - Our device has an internal battery that can last 3 days without any external power source.

IP67 - (Ingress Protection) It's a standardized degree of protection.  "67" means It is 100% protected against solid objects like dust and sand, and it has been tested to work for at least 30 minutes while under 15cm to 1m of water. or to be short "Weather-Proof"

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Both GPS tracking are accomplished by a receiver collecting data from at least 4 satellites in order to determine precise position. GPS devices accomplish this task by referencing information from the cellular tower that is closest to the GPS tracking device.

Skyhawk uses all GPS, GSM, GLONASS for receiving and collecting data. This means we got the redundancy if one system fails.

Skyhawk devices also collect data even if offline (ie. inside a tunnel) storing it locally. Once, Any signal has been detected that's when the device will send all the data it has accumulated to the application.
